- I build AI and data products, mostly aimed at the physical world. I'm a product manager, data scientist, and two-time founder.
- My north star is low-carbon physical-world abundance: cheap, clean, plentiful energy, and AI and software that make our homes, hospitals, farms, and cities better, not just our screens. I believe we need several times more electricity than we generate today, with zero emissions.
- Most recently I led Product (and before that, Data Science) at Halcyon, building AI search, agents, and structured data for the energy and utility sector. Before that, I co-founded and ran Greenwork/Onsite Pro (S21) and co-founded Station A.
- I studied applied math at Harvard and computational math at Stanford.
- I'm an occasional angel investor.
- I'm a lifelong Democrat but, above that, a patriot. I served in the San Francisco Fire Reserve from 2021 to 2024, and I love San Francisco, California, and the United States of America.
- I'm lucky to be married to a wonderful human and have wonderful kids.
- My parents and siblings are my inspiration and, among other good things, are prolific founders of businesses, including Beneficial State Bank, Galvanize Climate Solutions, Farallon Capital Management, TomKat Ranch, Radicle Impact, Ponderosa Ventures, and Studio Earthworks.
